I have recently moved from a 3 bedroom country house to a small 2 bedroom apartment. This is a my dining area that I will be decorating with the help of my BFF of over 40 years.
So being on a fixed income, I am trying to use some of my old furniture to decorate with. Turning this old coat closet into a pantry due to the lack of cupboard space. The paint I also had left over from the old house.
Coat Closet Turned Pantry, Amazing to me what a couple coats of paint with do.
I am lucky enough to have a flooring company in front of my apartment complex that always has left over or slightly damage wood and/or many many pallets that they sit out by their dumpster on a daily basis, so yes…I am officially a dumpster diver now, with the help and encouragement of my BFF haha. Here is just some of the wood that my partner in crime and I was able to nab up.
Exactly 3 of the boards put together fit perfectly to make one shelf, so all we had to do was just cut them to the right length, screw a brace for them to sit on and place the boards in there.
We Decided on just 4 shelves total toward the top, leaving the bottom with a taller space so that I would be able to fit some of my maple buckets in the bottom for recycling area maybe attach a couple organizers in there for paper and plastic bags as well.
Now for stocking the pantry.
Not bad for free! Very happy with the outcome.
Here is the dining bench that I also brought from the old house, with of course my little 3lb Bentley posing for the picture haha, such a cutie. I am also in the process of making the dining table, changing out the light fixture and adding some art work for a future post.
